Since 1975, Design Surfaces has focused on bringing hard-surface solutions into homes throughout Northeast Ohio. From countertops to tile and luxury vinyl flooring to sinks and lighting, Design Surfaces offers a one-stop-shop with VIP customer service and personal attention.
The same appreciation that current owners' grandfather, Nicholas Coticchia, brought when he came to America from Italy in 1975 as a stone mason, his grandsons David and Dean along with business partner Jim Nieberding bring to each and every customer who walks through the door.
At Design Surfaces we strive to ensure custom quality craftsmanship. We offer unique products with a design centric approach for every customer while maintaining a family atmosphere.

Our staff designers will select a bevy of samples for inspiration in creating a well-designed space. To give examples of their ideas, designers use examples from our past work and social media outlets to help you create your perfect space.

Every style is represented—rustic, traditional, farmhouse, modern and contemporary. Shopping while you go over ideas and put the whole package together with one of the designers. No appointment necessary, although you can make one if you’d like to. Designers welcome you to take samples home as well.

JENNIFER GLOVER
Celebrating her 11th year with the DS family, Jen has a passion for putting trends together with classic color theory for great design. Her outgoing personality helps her find common ground with clients and build relationships. “In the end, what I like best about my job is the family atmosphere and meeting new people,” she says.
KATE LAUX
With a specialty in coordinating colors and staying task-oriented, Kate has worked at Design Surfaces for the past 7-1/2 years. She reports the favorite part of her job is the people she works with.
MALLORY YAX
Mallory has a passion for design, style and human interaction. She studied fine art at Ohio University and has since developed a love for interiors. She enjoys helping curate a home you will love that reflects you. She thinks about what her Boston terrier Ninja is doing at least 50 times a day.
